“My work unfolds in reverse time.
It begins in the fractured mirror of ego and travels back-through memory, myth, and emotion-toward something unnamable:
origin, essence, soul.
Each painting holds a fragment of this return.
The surface speaks in symbols, but underneath lives a quiet longing-to reconnect what was once whole. I explore the space between disconnection and belonging, identity and spirit, the human and the divine. Time, in my paintings, is not linear—it is a spiral, and we are always circling back.
Art, to me, is not about escape. It is about remembering.”
About the Artist
My vision is to convey beauty and consciousness through a variety of styles, including contemporary, surrealist, and abstract art.

Adriana Rossarolla
I am a Brazilian-born surrealist painter based in California. My work explores the emotional and psychological landscapes that lie beneath language—translating themes of memory, transformation, and quiet introspection into visual form.
Rooted in a process I describe as “reverse time,” my paintings reflect a return to presence and inner truth. Each piece invites viewers into an intimate space where emotion and image meet—where the textures of grief, longing, and renewal are gently revealed.
Influenced by the contemplative rhythm of coastal life in Southern California and the quiet companionship of my dog, Cookie, my practice honors vulnerability, subtlety, and the deep humanity found in silence. My work becomes a poetic offering—an invitation to feel, to reflect, and to recognize the quiet originality within us all. My palette reflects the vibrant spirit of tropical colors aligning with the representation of human spirit. I am currently working towards my bachelor's degree in fine arts.
